Privacy Policy

What we collect, what we do not, and who else is involved.

Yamanouchi.com is a static website. We do not ask you to create an account, we do not run our own advertising network, and we do not sell data to anybody.

What we collect ourselves

Nothing directly. There are no forms on this site, no login, no newsletter sign-up and no comment system. Your language preference, if you choose one from the switcher, is stored in your own browser’s local storage and never leaves your device.

Third-party services

  • GetYourGuide. We load the GetYourGuide widget and partner analytics script so that booking widgets work and bookings can be attributed to us. GetYourGuide may set cookies and process data such as your IP address and the page you came from, under its own privacy policy.
  • Trip.com. Hotel links open Trip.com in a new tab. Nothing is shared until you click; after that, Trip.com’s privacy policy applies.
  • Google Fonts. Typefaces are loaded from Google’s servers, which means your browser makes a request to Google when a page loads.
  • Hosting. Our hosting and content-delivery providers keep standard server logs (IP address, browser, pages requested) for security and reliability.

Cookies

We set no cookies of our own. Third-party widgets and the booking platforms you visit from our links may set theirs. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the guide itself will keep working.

Affiliate links

Links to GetYourGuide carry a partner identifier so that a booking can be credited to this site. The identifier says which site referred you, not who you are. See the affiliate disclosure.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal data held about you. As we hold none ourselves, such requests are best directed to the third-party service concerned; we will help you find the right contact if you write to us.

Changes

If we change how the site works in a way that affects your privacy, we will update this page.

Make Yamanouchi the highlight of your Japan trip

The snow monkeys are an easy day out from Nagano and a long but doable one from Tokyo. Compare guided tours, private drivers and onsen-town walks and book in a couple of taps.
